CONDITIONS TO AVOID POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS HELPFULMEASURES
Condensation and damp inadequate heating. Chest and respiratory infections.  Increased painful episodes and swollen joints. Well insulated, damp proofed housing with good ventilation and thermostatically controlled heating throughout the house.
Accommodation above 2nd floor. Severe pain, overexertion and shortness of breath.  Access difficulties during a crisis.  Mobility difficulties due to done complications. Accommodation no higher than 2nd floor.  Lift facility and stairs without a steep incline
Inaccessible accommodation. Painful episodes are unpredictable.  Complications can be fatal. Accommodation near to carer/family.  A telephone or other communication links are vital and suitable vehicle access for a car or ambulance.
Toilet with difficult access. Impaired renal function with frequent urination and incontinence. Bathroom/toilet with easy access.  Accommodation with upstairs and downstairs toilets.
Inadequate drying facilities.  No safe play area/garden. Bedwetting in children.  Stress. Drying facilities and access to garden/safe area, away from overcrowding, harassment and vandalism.
Poor access to local.  amenities Increased discomfort and pain Restricted mobility. Access to local amenities and Emergency Services.
