Sickle cell is a hereditary
blood condition. In general this inherited blood condition
presents itself as a carrier state (healthy) or disease state
(disorder). The disorder is a form of aneamia that requires
specialist care and management.  |

The Project was established in 1990.
A group of dedicated individuals from a local Christian group
identified that there was an obvious inequality in service
provision for the black and ethnic minority communities in
Wolverhampton. The lack of knowledge of the client group and
inadequate health service provisions prompted the formation
of the Project.  |
