The Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Support Project (SCTSP) is proud to have won the Charity or Community Initiative Award at the Ethnicity Awards 2026.

Ethnicity Award Charity or Community Initiative 2026

For over 35 years, SCTSP has been supporting people and families affected by sickle cell and thalassaemia across Wolverhampton, Walsall and Dudley. Our work includes screening, counselling, practical support and advocacy, as well as raising awareness and helping people access the support they need.

This award means a lot to us and gives us an opportunity to highlight the importance of specialist community support, challenge stigma and improve understanding of sickle cell and thalassaemia.

To the individuals and families we support, thank you for trusting us. Your voices and experiences help shape our work every day.

We would also like to thank our dedicated team, volunteers, supporters and trustees. In particular, we recognise Clarence and Donald, whose commitment has helped sustain SCTSP from the very beginning.

We are proud to see our work recognised and remain committed to supporting our community.
