About the event
Join us for a trip around the world with Virtual Reality Headsets!
This is a free event for 13 to 18 year olds affected by Sickle Cell or Thalassaemia blood disorders.
Please note, young people will not be able to use the VR headsets until a permission slip is signed by a parent or guardian.
This is also your opportunity to share your views and help improve emergency care for Sickle Cell disease patients.
Your Voice Matters!
We need your help to improve the healthcare experiences for individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease.
Share your experiences with Unplanned Emergency Care or Emergency Department services and help us make a difference!
What we're studying:
- Access to emergency care for Sickle Cell Disease patients
- Quality of healthcare support
- Transition for care from paediatric to adult services
- Suggestions for improving emergency and overall healthcare services

Who can participate?
- Individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease
- Those who have experiences transition from paediatric to adult services in the past 5 years
Participants must be living in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley or surrounding areas.
