Community Family Support Service

Our Community Family Support Service provides targeted Tier 2 support to families across Stafford and South Staffordshire, in partnership with Staffordshire County Council. We work with families experiencing difficulties that may affect a child’s development or wellbeing, including issues around parenting, housing, school attendance, or family relationships. Through home visits, practical help, emotional support, and tailored action plans, we aim to empower families to overcome challenges early and prevent the need for more intensive interventions. Our team works collaboratively with local services to ensure a joined-up, family-focused approach that supports lasting positive change.

What we offer:
Tier 2 Family Support

  • One-to-one, hands-on practical support

  • A named Family Support Worker to coordinate help across schools and other services

  • Completion of an Early Help Assessment (EHA) and creation of an Early Help Plan (EHP)

  • Close working with professionals and agencies to achieve positive outcomes

Referral process

Anyone can refer a family to the Community Family Support Service- as long as the family has given consent. We just need their contact information and a brief overview of the challenged they're facing to help us decide if if our service us the best fit.

After receiving the referral, we'll get in touch with the family to arrange an initial meeting. If we feel another service would better meet their needs, we will signpost them.

If there is a wait for our support, there are still plenty of other services available to offer help in the meantime.
